Samsung Galaxy compatible to our 4G LTE, says Ntel boss

Nigeria’s broadband services provider, ntel, has announced its network’s compatibility with two Samsung devices, the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge on it 4G LTE.

Disclosing this development to newsmen, Chief Executive Officer Ntel, Mr. Kamar Abass, said that after conducting the compatibility tests, the firm’s network was found to be compatible with Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge making it possible for owners and users of the devices to call and browse at superfast speeds on the ntel network.

Abass noted that with this achievement, ntel has become the first 4G LTE provider in Africa to achieve device and network compatibility that would allow VoLTE calls on ntel’s network supports crystal-clear HD Voice calling (VoLTE).

He added that the Samsung smartphones could also get the key LTEAdvanced features such as: Carrier Aggregation (CA); and Multiple In, Multiple Out (MIMO) and Antennae technology.

According to him, the features combine to enable downlink data speed up to 230megabites per second and are both supported on Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge devices.

Abass said: ““Samsung is the leader in the Nigerian smart phone market and news of the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge compatibility with our 4G/LTE Advanced network is fantastic one for our customers who have been eagerly waiting to use their high-end Samsung devices on our network.”
