StarTimes’ invest over N20b in digital infrastructure in Nigeria

In a bid to improve quality service delivery to its numerous subscribers, StarTimes Nigeria has invested over N20 billion in the deployment of its digital infrastructure and equipment in the country.

Marketing Director, StarTimes Nigeria, Mr. Oludare Kafar, who disclosed this to journalists in Lagos, said that the firm had spent such funds which has in turn enabled it to achieve a wider coverage.

Kafar added that more locations across the length and breadth of the country were been penetrated, explaining that StarTimes has existed over the years as a brand with a mission to improve viewing experiences with rich contents.

According to him, the firm’s desire was to offer multiple accesses to subscribers to enjoy both digital terrestrial and satellite television channels and offerings on its new combo decoder as well as grant ease of access to switch between the options conveniently because the subscribers deserve the best comfort and convenience.

Kafar particularly noted that the 2-in-1 combo decoder, which the company recently introduced to the market, is a game- changing product and it was deliberately designed with latest global technology to lavish subscribers with unprecedented access to digital television and entertainment.

He further pointed out that StarTimes currently operates in 13 African markets while acquiring contents that would put it in the forefront of its Nigerian consumers.

He said: “One of such contents is football. This is basically on the understanding of love of the round leather game in Nigeria.”

“Today, the door-to-door after-sales service, which we pioneered, has become second to none in the industry. Interestingly, this new combo decoder works with both antenna and dish and offers channels on both for the price of one. It also grants our esteemed customers access to over 100 channels across the genres with an enhanced high definition picture quality.” Kafar said.
